Haybay Houseboat Residential Visits
The Houseboat Haybay is a unique floating centre moored on the tranquil Blackwater Estuary, near Maldon, Essex. The lower level has 8x 4-berth cabins, providing accommodation for 24 children and 4 members of staff. There are also 2 sets of showers - 4 in each - and a drying room. The upper level houses the saloon, a fully equipped kitchen and cloakroom.
When the tide is out, the area is famous for its abundance of wildlife and, when in, this is a popular sailing location.
As part of a visit to Haybay Houseboat, the children will have the opportunity to experience various outdoor activities such as caving, zip wire, archery and tracking, with qualified instructors. Additionally, the whole experience allows children to take part in activities that involve working as a team – a crucial life skill.
